🌀 (UN)Art
What is (UN)Art?
(UN)Art is not a project, a band, or a label. It’s a space. A feeling. An attitude. It’s what happens when music, visuals, and language meet – raw, honest, and unpolished. At least, that’s the idea behind it.
Why the name (UN)Art?
Because we don’t want to be boxed in – not by genres, formats, or expectations. (UN)Art stands for the unfinished, the unconventional, the unfiltered.
Why do you call yourselves a collective and not a band? You make music, after all.
Simple. We’re not a band in the traditional sense. /ði spɑːrk/ is still pursuing her vision of connecting music with painting – even if there’s little time for it right now.
🎶 Music & Creation
How is music created at (UN)Art?
Our music starts with emotion. Some songs begin with lyrics, others with a melody or a beat. /ði spɑːrk/ experiments, improvises, and often collaborates with Max.
Who writes the lyrics and composes the music?
Most lyrics and compositions are created by /ði spɑːrk/ – the creative mind behind (UN)Art. Some lyrics or ideas come from Max, who also plays violine, piano and guitar on several tracks.
How much of your music is handmade vs. digital?
Our process blends analog and digital. Instruments, vocals, and field recordings meet digital production and editing. Depending on the song, instruments (loops) may come from common platforms or be recorded live.
How often do you release songs?
As of December 2025, we’ve completed 18 songs – meaning they are registered with https://www.gema.de/en. Releases on streaming platforms depend on /ði spɑːrk/ motivation and workload. Even though Liam is a professional musician, this project is a hobby for all of us.
🎧 Editing & Production
What tools do you use for music production?
We use tools like https://www.audacityteam.org and websites like https://www.looperman.com or https://www.freesound.org, along with analog and digital equipment.
Do you produce everything yourselves?
Yes. Production, mixing, and mastering are all done by us.
What’s your workflow from idea to finished track?
It’s fluid. We start with a spark – a sound, a word, a feeling – and build from there. Some tracks evolve over weeks, others in a single night.
📸 Photography & Visuals
Who takes your photos?
Most photos are taken by members of the collective. Some members need a little convincing – especially those with a strong “I always look terrible in photos” attitude. Note from /ði spɑːrk/ to Max.
Do you edit your images yourselves?
Yes. All editing is done in-house, sometimes with AI support for color grading or creative effects. Photos and videos of /ði spɑːrk/ and Liam are always AI-adjusted – to reduce recognizability and, occasionally, for a little “beauty retouching” on /ði spɑːrk/. Hehe.
Do you use AI-generated images?
Yes – our moodboards are created with Microsoft Copilot. We also use AI occasionally for abstract or surreal concepts. These images or videos are always clearly marked.
🎥 Video & Motion
How do you create your videos?
We produce our videos ourselves – from concept to final cut.
Do you use AI in video production?
Yes, for certain effects, transitions, or experimental visuals. Storytelling and editing remain human-driven. Due to limited video equipment (we never planned to make music videos), we often work with still images. That means we take photos based on a storyboard and animate them using tools like https://www.ltx.studio or https://www.kapwing.com. Sounds easier than it is – unless you’re into people with three arms, twisted heads, or scenes straight out of The Exorcist.
Is your video content original?
Yes. Everything is created by us, following the process described above.

Who writes the content on your website?
All texts are written by /ði spɑːrk/ – the creative mind behind (UN)Art – with occasional input from the collective.
Do you use AI for writing?
No. /ði spɑːrk/ loves to write endlessly. English translations are done using tools and then proofread and adapted. She also has a soft spot for emojis – she thinks they make everything more readable. If you’d like to give it a try: https://www.getemoji.com
📱 Social Media & Communication
Who manages your social media channels?
Our channels are managed by the collective – mainly by /ði spɑːrk/ and Max.
Can people contact you directly?
Absolutely. We welcome questions, feedback, and collaboration ideas. Just visit our contact page or reach out via one of our many social media channels.
If your question wasn’t answered here, feel free to reach out. We’re happy to share more about how we work, think, and create.
